by Editor on July 21, 2010

Calling all readers of The Folkestone Handbook!
Are you based in Folkestone, Cheriton, Sandgate or another area of Kent? Do you wish you had the time to make all your creative ambitions become reality? Have time to think and plan ? Why not apply for a residency at Little Blue Hut?
Wednesday 25 August to Wednesday 30 September 2010

Little Blue Hut sits on Tankerton Slopes, offering inspiring sea views and tranquil creative thinking space to our resident creatives.
A series of beach hut residencies started in April 2009 and has seen artists and creative practitioners using the hut as a creative space to develop their work. You can find out about the residencies by reading the blogs on the Little Blue Hut pages

To apply:
If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity then tell us in no more than 500 words why you would love to be at the Little Blue Hut and what you hope to achieve. Enclose this along with an up to date CV and 3 examples of your work and send via email to mitch.robertson@canterbury.gov.uk to arrive no later than 12 noon, Monday 26 July 2010

If you are selected you will:
• Need public liability insurance of up to 5 million
• Write atleast 6 blog entries to feature on the Little Blue hut webpage
• Hold an informal “meet the artist” day during your residency

Please be aware there is no electricity.
